Lighting Up Again with The Sandhu Family

Lighting Up Again with The Sandhu Family

A friend helped reignite my love for photography, unknowingly, back in 2022. We were chatting one day and she suggested we trade taking photos of each other’s families for our holiday cards that year. She had no idea that photography is a passion of mine & that I had fiddled with the idea of doing it professionally for most of my adult life.

I agreed and soon realized I was actually really excited about this. This opportunity to pick up my camera again after it had been put away for way too long. Choosing to reject any b.s. that I told myself about not being good enough for this work. After diving into some deep online learning, I broke through technical barriers that had been holding me back. It all came together beautifully and her family pictures are still some of my favorites.

I am grateful for that nudge that got me back on track. I’m happy to know now that creativity is an essential part of life, and for me, it makes me feel more whole and alive. I am grateful for this work and the relationships and community I am building as a result.

Authenticity and fun are two values important to me, and I bring those on location with my clients. These cute Sandhu kids and their parents are beautiful, inside and out, and stylish, as always. It’s just so much fun to hang out, get silly and see those genuine smiles through the camera lens.

Looking back at these photos taken two years ago, Cindy & Nabheet’s kids have already grown up so much! It reminds me how important it is to capture photos of families in each phase of life. Having little kids of my own, I’m afraid all those people who have told me, it goes so fast, are right. I’m still in disbelief.
